We all have a negativity bias. As humans, our brains are wired to go to the negative. When given one part positive and one part negative, we naturally focus on the negative.
This is partly why we worry so much. Where there's no information or solution, we go negative first and then we panic and worry. Unfortunately, worrying doesn't solve any problem. More than likely, worrying creates more problems. We can't predict the future, let alone guarantee it. The most we can do is be thoughtful and intentional about our choices.
This quote from Dale Carnegie gives us some words of wisdom to help reframe our worrying minds. We don't like the unknown or uncertainty. But most of the time, the thing we worried about wasn't so bad or never came to fruition at all. All is well.
